ZeroTrack is designed from the ground up with one uncompromising principle: your financial data is yours and yours alone. We collect absolutely nothing by default.

What We Collect

Nothing by default.

ZeroTrack does not collect, transmit, or store any personal or financial information on external servers. There are no user accounts, no registration forms, and no email addresses required. Your financial data never leaves your device.

Data Storage

All of your financial data -- transactions, accounts, categories, budgets, and preferences -- is stored in a local SQLite database on your device. This database file exists only in the application's private storage area on your phone or tablet.

  • Data is stored using SQLite via the Drift library, a trusted and widely-used local database solution.
  • No cloud synchronization is performed. The app works entirely offline.
  • You can export your full database or CSV data at any time through the app's backup feature.

Third Parties

ZeroTrack does not integrate with any advertising or data brokerage services. The app includes the following optional, consent-gated third-party services:

Firebase Crashlytics (opt-in)

Crash reporting to help us fix bugs. Disabled by default. You can opt in during onboarding or in Settings > Privacy & Telemetry. All crash data is sanitized to strip any personal information (amounts, account numbers, emails, phone numbers) before being sent.

Firebase Analytics (opt-in)

Anonymous usage analytics to help us understand which features are used. Disabled by default. You can opt in during onboarding or in Settings > Privacy & Telemetry. All events are sanitized -- no financial data, account details, or personal information is ever included.

AI Enrichment via Google Gemini (opt-in)

Optional AI-powered merchant categorization using your own API key. Disabled by default. When enabled, only pre-parsed structured fields (merchant name, category) are sent -- never raw SMS, emails, or financial amounts. Your API key is stored in encrypted device storage.

All third-party services are opt-in only. ZeroTrack works fully offline with all services disabled.

  • No advertising networks or tracking pixels
  • No data sold or shared with third parties
  • All telemetry is PII-sanitized before transmission

Your Rights

Since ZeroTrack collects no data by default, traditional data privacy rights (access, correction, deletion, portability) are handled entirely by you on your own device.

  • Full ownership -- You own 100% of the data you enter into ZeroTrack.
  • Export anytime -- Use the built-in backup feature to export your database or CSV data.
  • Delete anytime -- Uninstalling the app removes all stored data. You can also clear data within the app settings.
  • Transparency -- We stand behind every claim in this policy. Contact us if you have questions.
